After HURRICANE IRMA, we had to transport our residents to a hotel. Unfortunately, one of the resident, 97 years old, was unable to ride with us because my vehicle could not accommodate her and her wheelchair. Hence, she traveled by herself and alone with Space Coast Transit.
In addition, on Wednesdays we take our residents to the senior center to play bingo, and that particular resident has to stay home, unless I call Space Coast Transit, which has to be booked seven days in advance.
After surviving Irma, we realized that our facility needed a reliable wheelchair accessible van – but we need help to amass enough funds to purchase this much-needed vehicle. Therefore, we are selling our T-shirts for that cause. All proceeds from T-Shirt sales will help pool the funds to purchase a Wheelchair Accessible Van, which will benefit residents at Eden’s Garden Assisted Living Facility. When you purchase our shirts or refer your friends to us, you are helping our residents have access to reliable transportation both for emergencies and everyday travel. You are also giving them the opportunity to finally enjoy outdoor activities and excursions together.
